Hear of Chiswick’s famous boat builders, and discover an Elizabethan timber framed building along with London’s smallest square, possibly the setting for the opening scene of Thackeray’s book, Vanity Fair.
OLD CHISWICK GRAVEYARD
A chance to reflect on the likes of artists, William Hogarth, James McNeil Whistler and Philip James de Loutherbourg, buried alongside actor Charles Holland, and intriguingly Richard Wright, a bricklayer.
CHISWICK MALL (Linear)
Explores the industrial heritage and imposing mansions of the riverside promenade, finishing at the Hammersmith border.
