Chiswick Park and house have undergone massive facelifts. So it was apt the guides started off the 2011 summer season with an well attended exploration of its exceptional and historic grounds. A new walk with a wealth of history added to our repertoire.

Goodly turnouts continued on the regular walks at Brentford, Chiswick and Isleworth. Isleworth Graveyard to Cemetery made a welcome re-appearance, along with “one-off” specials at Bedfont and Hanworth.

Numerous community groups from a wide area enjoyed private walks. Many more were entertained with illustrated talks on topics ranging from the pick of Hounslow Borough’s historic houses, and also unravelling forgotten mysteries about its various diverse villages.
